System Guitar

System Guitar
what is the grade system with guitar / vocals ?

I;ve heard a lot about 8th graders (music) being able to teach .
How many grades does it take to join a pro orchestra.
And how long does it take on average.(2hrs of practice a day)

you can’t think of it that way. A musical genius might start out at grade one in the exams but can play a concert. On the other hand, a teacher with grade eight just might not have the desire, endurance, or charisma to do a solo concert.

I CAN tell you this however: If you get a grade eight you will be technically equipped to play professionally… As I said above, this doesn’t mean you can do it… it’s up to your individual skills aside from your schooling.

I would answer your question about practicing the same way. Itzhak Perlman is proud to tell people he never practices. And yet, he is one of the greatest living performers. Another great performer, Yo Yo Ma, practices for hours on end. Again, how much you practice can only be good for your art but it won’t scientifically ‘make’ you a professional performer.

One more thing, how would getting an education in guitar or vocals get you into an orchestra? Even though they might play a part, it wouldn’t be considered full time.

good luck
