Epiphone and Gibson consulted with Slash. The result is a guitar that feels like the real thing, but with a cheaper cost. The guitar is crafted with a mahogany body and carved maple cap. The body features a flamed maple veneer with Slash’s c y was. lassic Amber finish, and is rounded just as a 1960’s era Les Paul body
The heavy Slash-infused sound is provided by the Seymour Duncan Slash Signature Alnico II Pro pickups with zebra coils. Additionally, the Orange Drop capacitors that Slash’s own guitar has are found in the
epiphone slash
standard guitar. The guitar also has a standard Lock Tone Tune-O-Mastic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Thanks to the bridge, Elusion-Style Tuners, and the solid, mahogany set-in neck and body, the guitar delivers a great amount of sustain and the strings themselves are very easy to change.
As is common with other Les Paul Epiphone guitars, the guitar features a 24-3/4″ scale length and 22 nickel frets. There are 2 volume controls, 2 tones, and a 3-way Toggle Switch. Each of these allows the guitarist to take Slash’s sound and tweak it to better mirror their own style.
The guitar also comes standard with a Custom hard-shell case, hand-signed certificate in binder, and 12 Slash-inspired picks.

American heavy metal guitarist Randy Rhoads, who played with OZZY OSBOURNE and QUIET RIOT, will be honored by Gibson Custom with the release of the Gibson Custom Shop Randy Rhoads Signature Model Les Paul Limited Edition Guitar. Rhoads often combined his classical music influences with his own heavy metal style and remains one of the most influential players of our time, despite his short career. The Gibson Custom model is a faithful recreation of Randy’s ‘74 Les Paul Custom, which features a “sandwich” ’70s Les Paul Custom body, Randy Rhoads thin D neck profile, his name stamped in the pick guard and newly developed “super 74″ pickups.
